Welcome to Carved and Crafted by Chartwells for The Julliard School and The American School of Ballet. Our mission is to provide you with exceptional quality, outstanding service, and a creative culinary experience. Our onsite Catering Team is happy to assist you with the planning of your event and can be contacted at 917-309-2522 Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am. to 6:00 pm.
Overview:

 
For events under 100 guests, orders must be confirmed in writing by our Catering Team at least three (3) business days prior to the date of the event.


2. For events exceeding 100 guests, orders must be confirmed in writing by our Catering Team at least five (5) business days prior to the date of the event.


3. All events and orders are required to meet a 10-person minimum. For events that generate less than the minimum number of guaranteed guests, the minimum guest count will remain applicable. 10 person minimum on all orders.


4. Please note that we provide a special Casual Catering Menu for last minute orders and those with restrictive budgets.


5. Orders must be placed a minimum of 3 business days in advance, or up to 6 months ahead.


6. Based on the nature of your event, additional fees may apply.


7. Events will be charged in full if these cancelation deadlines are not honored. Special consideration may be provided for weather related or natural disaster driven cancellations.


Guest Counts:
For events under 100 guests, a guaranteed guest count must be received four (4) business days prior to the event. For events exceeding100 guests, the guaranteed guest count must be received six (6) business days prior to the event.

Event Time: 
Events are billed in four-hour increments. Events exceeding four hours may be subject to additional service fees.


Green/Sustainable Campus:
Events include compostable plates, cups, service ware and flat ware. China, special linen, floral arrangements, and specialty event equipment is available upon request for an additional fee

 
Dietary Preferences and Restrictions:
Carved and Crafted by Chartwells is happy to accommodate most dietary preferences and religious and allergy restrictions. However, if you are unsure or have any special requests, please do not hesitate to contact the Catering Team at 917-309-2522


Alcohol:
Carved and Crafted by Chartwells is committed to providing a healthy and safe event environment. The following guidelines must be adhered to when organizing and hosting any events where alcohol is served:


1. .For Juilliard events, all alcohol must be requested through Juilliard Special Events via Juilliard’s Alcohol Request Form.
1a. Security will be made aware of all events where alcohol will be served.

2. Our TIPS certified service team will be responsible for ensuring any guest consuming alcohol is of legal age.

3. All guests of legal age will receive a wristband indicating that they are permitted to consume alcoholic beverages. Wristbands for each age appropriate guest which will be charged to the event.

4. Guests not wearing a wristband will not be served alcoholic beverages.

5. Alcoholic beverages can only be served in approved campus venues.


Linen:
Basic linen will be provided at no charge for all food and beverage displays. Linen for seating tables, registration tables, or any other linen needs or upgrades can be provided and will be charged to the event.


Service Staff:
Service captains are charged at 75.00 hour, wait staff are charged at $48.00 per hour with a four (4) hour minimum. Bartenders are charged at $75.00 per hour. A TIPS certified bartender is required for any event where alcohol is served.

Tax Exemption:
All internal Pratt Institute events are considered to be tax exempt. External groups not associated with Pratt must provide a current certificate of Tax Exemption.
